alas, my pet mouse Kittie died sometime this morning.  it was sad, i cried a little; but at the same time i'm sorta relieved to have her gone. she was old and she was definitely sick or something. i'm just glad i dont have to worry about whether she's in pain or not anymore.

now due to it being winter time and not being able to dig through the frozen ground to bury her, it has been decided to say farewell to kittie mouse in the most epic pet funeral ever: viking burial.  sean actually squeed over the fact that we're going to do this, apologized for his overexcitement, then proceeded to squee again. for those who don't know, the jist of a viking burial is the deseased is placed in a boat with weapons and treasure.  then the body is set on fire and pushed out to sea.  sean shall be making a raft, and i made dead!kittie a little viking helmet, sword, and shield. she will be surrounded by her little viking props and her treasure consisting of her chewie rainbow noms, and then we will say our goodbyes as we set her adrift down the river (there possibly being fire if we can figure out a way to do it safely.)

i have the conflicting feelings of this being a horribly weird thing to actually go do, as well as it being something completely awesome.. more so feeling the awesome.  i'm not about to ever just wrap her in a bag and throw her in the trash. this will be an honorable farewell.
